Application window
The application window for all TPP degrees opens on 15 August and closes on 15 November of each year. Please note that this application window is fixed and cannot be extended!
We have a rolling admission process, i.e. applications are reviewed and accepted from the first day of the application window. Once the available slots have been awarded to qualified candidates, the application period will close. Applying early is recommended.
More information on the application process can be found here.
Schedule of the TPP degrees
Each CAS TPP degree comprises 21 days of in-person classes, organized into two- to three-day block seminars typically held on Fridays and Saturdays. Thus, the CAS TPP degrees span one semester, taking place in the spring semester between the end of January and the middle of June.
Only one CAS TPP degree is conducted a year:
- The CAS TPP: Policy Process degree is offered in uneven years (2025, 2027 etc.).
- The CAS TPP: Impact Analysis degree is offered in even years (2024, 2026 etc.).
Each CAS TPP degree is worth 15 ECTS, which equals around 450 hours of workload in total for each degree. The credits reflect the total workload, including preparation and follow-up.
The two CAS TPP degrees can also be combined and completed within a minimum of 1.5 years of studying part-time. You can start with either CAS TPP degree.
The schedule for the classes is published in the summer, before the application window opens. You can find this information, along with details about the modules and learning goals, on the dedicated degree pages:
The MAS TPP can be started with either of the two CAS TPP degrees in the spring semester of each year. It begins with the CAS TPP: Policy Process in uneven years and with the CAS TPP: Impact Analysis in even years.
In part-time study mode, both CAS TPP degrees, the elective courses, and the Policy Analysis Project can be completed within approximately four semesters, i.e. two years.
Participants are free to distribute the elective courses as suitable to them across the time of their studies. Important to note is that the Policy Analysis Project can only be initiated after having completed at least 30 ECTS, e.g. after having completed both CAS degrees or one CAS degree and all of the elective courses.
The schedule of the elective courses will depend upon the courses selected. Please note that most regular courses take place during the semester during week days.
